According to Dictionary.com a “Schedule” is as follows:
1.
a plan of procedure, usually written, for a proposed objective, esp. with reference to the sequence of and time allotted for each item or operation necessary to its completion: The schedule allows three weeks for this stage.
2.
a series of things to be done or of events to occur at or during a particular time or period: He always has a full schedule.
Recently, I have learned that I do not dig “on-call” or “subject to change” schedules. I mean once and a while is ok, but frequently? nope! not for me!! And yesterday, I let my new Employer knows this too. I wonder what will happen now?
How is a person to make plans around a schedule that is constantly changing, or when a person is “on-call”?
I just want a SCHEDULE like defined by dictionary.com. I want to know 2 – 3 weeks in advance, what the series of days I will be working are and what is to be done. This is ridiculous!
I will be going to work “potentially” in a few hours here… I better get my nail clippers out and cut my nails for this!
Keeping you posted,
Demara
