If you are a Facebook friend of mine, you may have seen my status recently about blog commenting? Well I just thought I’d touch base with you here too more elaborately, on the subject.

Reading a blog post to me is like: listening to someone talk.
And when I have a conversation, I don’t just listen, but respond too.
So the "Speaker"-AKA Blogger- feels heard.
Are you reading this?-AKA can you hear me?

Just like in a game of "catch".
I like to pass you the ball-AKA write a post-and…
in return I like to have you pass the ball back-AKA comment.
Does that make any sense at all?

I think some of you play the game of "catch" very well !  and you are like a breath of fresh air to me-after I’ve sucked on my puffer. :)

However, others-if there are others? who are reading here and not commenting every time, then, well you know. I’m throwing the ball at you, and you’re not catching it. And you are not throwing it back!

This is why I FEEL THE NEED to comment EVERY TIME I read someone’s blog.

I just told you something.
Will you respond?

Because seriously people, I don’t understand, why you wouldn’t respond in conversation.
