This weekend we spent time with friends.

While I attended a bridal shower for a friend, Jeff played Poker with his guy friends. Some of which included husbands of some of the ladies that were at the shower.

The bridal shower was a lot of fun. It was a potluck, where everyone was on the same page and brought sweets. Needless to say I took two pgx capsules with every sweet thing I ate, so it went right through me quickly. I must have gone to the bathroom three times every hour. I WAS in there more than anyone else. eep! I even had to change the roll of tp. TMI? haha (perhaps I should have called my blog "TMI")

It was a lingerie party too, or that was the theme, anyway. We got to see Faa open up all her gifts and then afterward we played a game. We all had to rip as much tp off the roll as we use, we had no idea what for. Then we were split into two groups. In our group we had to choose who would be the bride, in our group there was: Julie, Louise, Dieter’s Mom, and I, we chose Julie to be the bride. Then we were told we had to use the tp to make her some lingerie. Yikes! Good thing I use a lot! WE barely had enough as you can see from the picture above. I think the other groups lingerie looked REALLY nice. And they chose the bride wisely by choosing Faa, the actual Bride to be!

It was such a long but great day Saturday. We stayed the latest with my best friend, Carolanne, her son, Ben, and husband, James, along with my best friend’s brother, Reg, who’s getting married soon and his fiance, Faa.

The two that are getting married soon, Reg and Faa, met in Thailand and will be going back to be full-time Missionaries there.

A friend, Jon, who traveled a long time for the game of Poker and fellowship also accompanied us all on the walk and picnic.

I’m not sure whose idea it was to walk down a tiny trail to a ravine and discover a trail that led to barking dogs, but Jeff and Jon crossed the babbling brook, stepped on oversized pebbles and jumped the ravenous waves to cross the ravine and discover dogs. They quickly returned and we continued on our walk.

Soon after that we actually did venture out onto another trail that went through bushes, Jon in front, then me, then Jeff, and Reg and Faa…Jon whipped a couple branches in my face by accident of course. Good thing I wear glasses!

On the walk I experimented with my camera and took flower photos. I tried to get nice close-up shots. I think my camera, even though cheap, actually held it’s own and took respectful shots. What do you think of the flower photos in the collage above?

Oh and I asked Ben, "Are you having FUN?" and that’s when he pointed at me with that big smile! Isn’t he cute? He’s one years old now with almost a full mouth of teeth.

It was such a great time going for a walk with them all, playing Wii Fit a bit and socializing for a long time in our friend’s hot tub later that evening.

Hope you had a great Father’s Day.
Happy Father’s Day
to all you Fathers out there!!!

We really should meet soon. I’d really like to get to know you and meet you again.
