Avocado Smoothie Recipe and The Birthday Presents
28th February, 2010
Jeff’s birthday was on Wednesday and since we needed a warm blanket for our new King bed, my Mom and I headed to IKEA. We found a 2 in 1 set. IKEA has a rating system for their duvets. A 1 rating means it’s the coolest where as a 4 is the warmest. And this set included a 1 as well as a 4. Both were snapped together, so combined you could even have a 4.
I am hot at night while Jeff is usually cold, so this was the perfect fit for both of us. And we can’t have a duvet without a cover, right? So that was next. A cover to go over his and mine.

I picked out this nice blue one for him, while mine is a plain white one. My blanket matches the sheets so it lays under his blue one, and this way he can use mine too, and get a warm rating of 4 on his side or 7 when I push his blue blanket off me and double it onto him. hehe
I must say though that so far, we have been loving the duvet. It feels like we’re sleeping in a cloud. Totally comfy!
Besides the duvet, Jeff also got an offer for an hour long full body massage.
Tonight, while watching the Dr. Oz Show I discovered a new smoothie, which I had all the ingredients for. Yeepee for me, right?

I love Avocado and honey. Although in this smoothie, I DID NOT put enough honey in I don’t think, because it tastes waaaaay too avocado-ee and it’s not sweet enough for me. Otherwise, it’s healthy! So I drink it, slowly, until I put more sweet stuff in. *smile*

Avocado Smoothie
2C Skim Milk
1 ripe Avocado
2 TBSP honey
Blend it all together and serve chilled.
Nice job on the duvet! It looks good too!
THX! I just saw a mistake in my post. The 2in1 set included a 1 and a 3…
We have a 4 weight for summer and a 2 weight for winter. The kids have 2 weights for year-round because they have other blankets, except Sparky. She has other covers and a 6 weight. They have a heavier one than a 4, at least here in the U.S. Absolutely LOVE them!
