Generations

"Grandma Paints"
(that was her nickname growing up…because she’s an Artist. She’s famous for her oil paintings, she’s sold at the Cariton House and more recently that she’s published on some cards… as well as her "rock buddies", you may have seen at IHOP or the Cannon Clinic or even perhaps in Korea as I brought one huge box full with me there instead of a second piece of luggage.)

My Grandma (My Mom’s MOM) just turned 71 years old March 5th, she has the same birthday as my good friend Carolanne (who just turned 30).

My Grandma has cancer (my Mom bought her the touque in the picture…I think it looks beautiful and it’s her favourite color.) and is going through chemo right now…please pray that she’d quit smoking so she could live the rest of her life smoke-free!!! As well as come to know the Lord in a "real" way, personally…thanks.

Our little boy and I went to visit her yesterday…we could only stay for 5 minutes and then we both got asthma as well as real stinky. But hey we got a picture with her which was great! I pray she is around for the next 10 or 15 years so that she can meet my kids.

And if I were to have a daughter I would want to get a 4 generational photo taken like this one (this picture was taken a couple of years before my Great Grandma passed away from Cancer.) of me, my Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma…to carry on the tradition.

Nice pictures of your grandma. I will pray for healing for her. Chemo is not easy and I pray that God will bring her unto Himself and she would come to know Him and love him.

Demara, what a sweet girl you are, may you always remember how much your Grandma loves you. I will continue to bring her before the Lord.

No one is ever up for cancer – I can’t imagine. Praying for your grandma now. The toque looks like cute fuzzy hair.
