Day 3 with Panda Baby
4th December, 2009
I took her shopping at Pet Smart, we tried out the stroller they sell because she was tired from the 3K walk.
She really didn’t feel like going shopping, but we needed to get some shampoo and conditioner for her, since the walk we went on was down a very natural trail and she got a bit dirty.
She felt better after getting all cleaned up and now she loves how she smells.
She wants me to tell you that the shampoo and conditioner have baking soda in them! She’s hoping it’ll whiten up her hair, especially on her face.
While at the store we were looking for a nice warm blanket for her bed, since all she had to sleep on was a large pink towel and she didn’t think that was very warm.
I found her a inexpensive LARGE for her, fleece blanket, which was perfect for wrapping her up in after drying her off a bit with the blow dryer and slipping her fleece hoodie on, after her bath.
While blow-drying her hair, I brushed her fur, so now she feels so smooth. She has silky straight hair. Some spots are a little dry, but we’ll work on that.
I trimmed a bit of the hair around her eyes so they no longer poked her. this was scary to do, and I hope to have some money saved up soon for taking her in to get her nails done. They seem really long to me. They are way bigger than the cat’s nails. Soooo I will leave those to professionals, unless the Vet shows me how to do them!
So all together at the store, we found a green fleece blanket and pink hoodie, arm and hammer shampoo and conditioner, a nice green plush toy, and you can’t leave without getting chicken drumstick milk bones of course.
While there, lots of people came up to see her too, saying she was real cute.
I said, “she’s real tired, and doesn’t want to be here. She’s super shy!” and she kept hiding/snuggling her head into my neck, that is when I was holding her prior to finding the stroller.
She was so tired from the mini-hike today that, she was falling asleep sitting up on the drive to the store. hehe
She is adorable!!
We introduced her to a couple of the neighbors…
And one of them said, “I hope I can babysit sometime!”
haha I said, “of course!”
Oh and thank-you Grandma and Grandpa Martins for the Christmas Gift…I had to spoil my new baby with it, of course!!!..psst – I spent it all. Oops :)

day 3 – in the early Christmas present, a nice warm fleece hoodie!
Awww, she is so cute!
It looks like you are having a lot of fun getting to know Panda and taking care of her! I like the pic of you guys snuggling.
