my birthday card from Gramma this year

The back of the card

Inside the card...some of my Gramma's history

My Gramma in 1983, when I was 3

L-R: me, my mom, Gramma, Great Gramma - 4 Generations
My Great Grandma Anna, died from Cancer soon after this photo was taken, when she was 84.
My Grandma has been battling Cancer for almost 3 years now and she’s only 75.
I pray that she’ll fight to stick around for at least 20 more years.
I really hope that one day Jeff and I can have a baby for her. A girl.
It has always been my hope, ever since I was little, to get another 4 generation picture taken and make a tradition of it. I loved that picture of us. There is another one, I can’t find it, where I’m pointing at the camera. I like that one even better : )
So since my Grandma is an Artist and a few of you were wanting to see some of her work, I snapped photos of the pieces I have of hers around the house.
The photos don’t do them justice though! Truly.
p.s. I want to run for her!! I want to share in her pain. I have been thinking that she may be the motivation I’ve been looking for. (as well as the dog, of course !!)
And on the last episode of the biggest loser, I got inspired to use our staircase to workout on. I want to run it. Do side squats, knee ups, and calve raises. Since our treadmill is still broken, why not use the stairs right? It’s painful to workout when you are as heavy as I am. Some of you might not think I’m that heavy. And I’m not as heavy as I once was, thankfully, but I’m still way too heavy for my short frame. SO I can’t wait to start working out aggressively again. Next comes aggressively and carefully watching my diet by eating GI. I know it should be the other way around, at least that’s how I lost my first 60 lbs.
But we just have a lot of junk in the house that needs to be eaten and no money to splurge on buying GI foods. So for now we eat cheap, and if it has the Heart and Stroke Foundation symbol that’s great…at least it’s closer to GI than some other junk we might buy !!
Plus, we’ve noticed that the healthier an item is, the sooner it expires. And that means the more money we have to spend in order to keep the cupboards and fridge full. So ya. We are unable to do that.
So we eat cheap. Don’t overeat. And Exercise lots. Oh and I’m trying so hard not to eat after 7 again! Since my sleeping schedule is back on track. Yaaaay!
