Josiah and I
I’m scared.
I maybe shouldn’t have…
prepared myself for this test.
I maybe shouldn’t have…
read what others experiences were like.
How the pain was horrific.
Like nothing they’d ever felt before.
More painful than their menst.rual cramps!
I just hope I can see on the screen, see the ultrasound.
Apparently you can. you can watch while they are inside.
That’s exciting!!
Hopefully that will distract me enough, so that I forget about the pain, and what’s happening.

I still can’t believe I’ll be awake for this!!!
I remember last time I was awake for something like this.
It did not go so well.
It was when I got all 4 wisdom teeth pulled at the same time.
The Dentist thought it wouldn’t be a big deal, but he was wrong.
Anyhow back to the ‘thingy’ I’ll be getting done next week…
Have you had this type of test done before?
Do you have any words of wisdom?
Any tips?
Should I have/need an escort?
If you want to read more TMI about this test you can here. after reading this TMI post, of another fellow Blogger’s experience, you’ll understand a bit more of why I’m scared!!

I go in next week, so if you think of me please pray.
I want the tubes to be clear.
cleared out.
lubricated if you will.
and most of all I’d like it
to be
pain-free and productive!!
RE-productive…
I read the other girls account and must say that I’ve had friends and a sister go through this test and they said it was a “crampy” type of discomfort, so I think hers was worse than usual.
Remind yourself that it’s just 5 minutes and yes – watch that screen to keep your mind on it – not any pain!
I think it would be smart for Jeff to come with you, if for no other reason than moral support!
I’ll be praying.
Not going to read the links :-P but whatever it is I hope it goes well and hope that it isn’t all that bad!
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve never had one of those done, but if it is painful I find saying and thinking “pain for purpose” over and over. I told myself that over and over while things were uncomfortable before labour and during labour. It really helped me!
I had this problem and had NO problems AT ALL! I did not have anything blocked. I heard that would be what causes the pain. I hope everything goes well.
I am praying for your 2nd cousin and family. That is so sad!!!
I just read about Josiah, Demara. I’m so sorry for you and your family.
Do take Jeff with you for the moral support at least. It’s possible they will let him go back and you can squeeze the heck out of his hand when you get crampy. If nothing else, it will be nice for him to drive you home. I was fine when mine was over, but you just don’t know how each person will react. I never had bad menstrual cramps back then, so it wasn’t something my body was typically going to do.
By reading the other girls account, I think that sounds similar to one test I had. I remember one of the symptoms being cramping. I had gone by myself (I don’t recommend that!) I do remember there feeling that was similar to pinching or cramping in some areas. I wasn’t allowed to see because the monitor wasn’t even near to where I was. I will be praying and I hope that your experience won’t be that unbearably painful.
I heard about Josiah and I’m sorry to hear about his recent passing into glory. May our God give you comfort at this time.
I had the same test done in the early 90′s…was painful, but only for a very short time…yes very crampy feeling, but short lived…mind you, it was after I had Jeff, so that was nothing compared to going through labour…so I found it was tolerably.(remember …short lived…less than 5 min) Just focus on watching the monitor and breathe and try to stay relaxed…that is the most important…to stay relaxed. It may be hard….but focus …Good luck…I’ll be thinking of you.
Love you
THX so much everyone for all your advice and support! I appreciate hearing what you endured so I know what to expect. THX for sharing!! Love you all. I appreciate your help:)
