Saturday’s ALL Day Adventure
29th June, 2009At 3 am we woke up to get ready for our geocaching all day excursion also known as the Cache Machine Event. It was our goal to beat our record of 25 caches found in 11 hours. We hunted from 430am to 6pm. It was a very long day!! We walked a total of 20K (in rain, sun, and windstorm) and drove about 200K. We made an effort to find 70 of the ninety something caches that were along this event’s route. We didn’t find 70 but we did accomplish our minor goal of beating our previous record. You’ll have to watch the short clip here to see how many we ended up finding! As the Curnews it’s our tradition to snap a photo with each cache and well since a friend of ours was a long for the ride he was in all these photos with us. The clip starts off with the label we made and used to stick on all the log books to make our finding and signing even faster. I’m not sure what I did but along the 20K walk I hurt my legs so badly that by the end of the night I found it extremely difficult to walk. Today they are feeling a lot better of which I am overjoyed about. We had a fun time nonetheless visiting places around Vancouver BC we had never seen before.
You did great! I like the sleeping picture at the end.
Hi there! Thanks for dropping by my blog. It’s nice to meet you. :)
So what was this whole geocaching adventure you write about?? Looks like fun, although I’d want to pass on all that walking!
