Our First Ever Multi-Geocache
31st January, 2009

This is our first ever MULTI-cache find. It took a total of 2 hours to find all 5 GPS coordinates and pictured above is the final find. A military ammo box! Inside this particular find was the travel bug. The travel bug has a code on it along with a website url so it can be tracked, this way you can see where it’s travelled. Since geocaching is a world-wide treasure hunt, I think it’s really neat to see where this bug can go! Jeff and I are having a lot of fun with this. In the last two days we’ve done 10 geocaches but have only been able to find the hidden treasures of 9 of those locations. We plan on doing the one we couldn’t find tomorrow and tonight maybe other ones. And very soon we’ll be creating our own treasure box, and treasure hunt for other geocaches. Today we bought the camo tape and other supplies from wal-mart. We were very surprised that they had the camo tape, but now with that we are pretty much all set. We just need to make our labels. We’ll make labels like the one you see in the picture above for our treasure boxes. and we’ll also print off some mini labels with our name on them "The Curnews" that we’ll be able to put in the log book, on that mini label we’ll write the date we were there, and stick it on the paper instead of just writing it in the pencil that is usually provided. Other people have done this too, and we think it works much better. Anyhow, as I am pretty tired from the long walk we did today, I’m going to go rest now. Right now, I feel like I have a fever
I just took my temperature and sure enough I have a fever. 38 degrees! and I’m very thirsty, so I don’t think I’m completely well yet from having the flu a couple days ago. Oh and I’m pretty sure it was the flu because our neighbor and her husband have it now. She just called me today to let me know. It’s funny because the day before I got sick, she had left me a jar of peanut butter cookies at our door she made, that I ate a couple of. I really hope the flu wasn’t passed to me via the cookies. But the good thing is that their year old son does not yet have this nasty bug and I really hope he never gets it too, because I seriously felt like I was dieing for a day. Anywho, I better scoot and rest up now before we head out for our night hunting. Goodnight all, and Happy Hunting!!!

I never heard of this type of treasure hunting but it’s sounds like fun. I’m glad you both enjoyed it so much.
