Visiting a Cementery and Eating Pesto Salad
27th September, 2008Today was a beautiful Fall day!
Jeff and I visited a park nearby and went for a long walk. At this park there’s a cemetery where we honored the dead by reading their names aloud and then we figured out how old they were when they died. It was interesting visiting this park because it was filled with so much history. I thought the SECOND tombstone we saw was quite ironic to me! As it had my birthday on it!!! (and that’s in less than a week.) This little girl "Matteilda" was born on the same day as me, but in 1903 and died when she was only 4 yrs old! :0( I thought it neat though that we shared the same birthday…and that it was only the Second tombstone we saw!
Toward the end of the day we made a Pesto Salad for supper. It’s my favourite salad right now. We made the pesto sauce from scratch, it surprisingly was quite simple, only 5 ingredients in it. (I bought the ingredients and Jeff put them together using this blog’s recipe)The salad consists of tomato slices, spinach leaves, fresh mozzarella mini-balls, pesto sauce and a drizzle of Balsamic vinegar. It’s delicious!!!
Our babies, Nacho (the orange man) & Salsa (the pretty lady), have been so hyper lately…
and we’ve been having a lot of fun tuckering them out, playing with them.

I love to visit old cemetery’s. I think it’s neat you saw one with your birthday too.
I can’t get over how much your Salsa looks like our Cleo – they must be related!
I’m enjoying the pictures you are adding to your side bar.
