About Demara

Demara underwent a laparoscopy on May 20, 2008, and met with the Surgeon/Gyno on June 13th, 2008 to hear what he found click here.

Or to read about Demara and her family continue on here…

Demara, who was born in 1980 is the woman of the house and a housewife. She enjoys helping her husband out and that may include working for their website business. Her main interests/hobbies include: blogging, digital scrapbooking, playing volleyball, running, walking, photography, animals, and watching movies. She is driven to a healthy lifestyle that includes 13 hours of exercise a week, eating more veggies than anything else and prayer to the one who made and saved us, Jesus Christ.

Demara met her husband, Jeff, in 2003 at volleyball they were married a year and a half later in 2004.

Jeff, who was born in 1978 is the man of the house and a Web Developer. He enjoys a variety of electronic devices. He loves to play video games, work on the computer building client’s websites, and he loves watching TV or movies.

Together Jeff and Demara play volleyball three times a week, 8 hours total. They also enjoy cooking together. Their favourite type of food to eat is Asian, particularly Sushi.

Soon after they got married, they bought Nacho, a 6 week old cat, from a local pet store. A couple months later they bought him a friend and named her Salsa. Together, Nacho and Salsa played as kittens and after a year had their first litter of 7 kittens, one of which Jeff and Demara kept and called "Rufio", because she has an orange mohawk on her head like the character on the movie "Hook".

Nacho (orange British Shorthair) is sometimes shy, but once he gets to know you is very affectionate and friendly. He, also, loves getting his orange fur brushed. His favourite thing to do is play with his blue fleece catnip filled toy he got from the Veterinarian as a kitten.

Salsa (gray, black, white Egyptian Mau/Siemese) is very playful and also very talkative. She loves to greet you at the door, talk to you when you’re around and she loves her tummy rubbed. She is also very smart and knows how to open the bathroom door. She is the only one not fixed so she can be quite loud every couple weeks.

Rufio is a combination of both her parents. She was just recently fixed so is still a bit needy from that and loves being held or cuddled. Her favourite thing to do is get her tummy rubbed and or to play.

On May 27th, 2008, Demara found out that she is actually allergic to cats. So they had to say goodbye to one cat and that had to be Rufio since she was the one that needed the most cuddling by Demara. Rufio’s parents are best friends and do everything together, this was hard on her and she would often be alone. One of Jeff and Demara’s neighbors asked them one day (June 14, 2008) if they could have Rufio and Jeff decided that would be the best place for her. So since Nacho and Salsa do not like to be held, Jeff, who was very much attached to them all, painfully said goodbye to Rufio. She is still close to home though and is within a short walk away.

Jeff and Demara live in a 2 bedroom 4-plex, that has two bathrooms and two floors. Jeff and Demara spend most of their time in the living room watching TV, playing Wii or watching TV shows. This is where they spend time with the cats too (because the rest of the house is off limits to them).

The last couple of years have been hard for Demara since her brother tried to kill her mom, by stabbing and beating her. (You can read about what happened here.) Demara doesn’t talk to them anymore because it’s just too stressful and the whole situation a huge mess. Her brother is still imprisoned waiting judgement and her mom is a Careaid in town still working hard. Demara suffers from insomnia, especially when people ask her about them, as she completed the triangle of their little family growing up, so please do not ask her how they are. Thanks! If you think of her or them, just pray.

Thanks for visiting me at Yokoso! Yokoso is Japanese for Welcome. You’re welcome to visit, and hearing from you DOES make me happy. So thank-you in advance for being a spurt of seratonin. I will be sure to visit you in return too!
