Who Needs The Gym?
Well tonight I did it. I decided to rip the packaging off my new workout dvd and crack it open.
This DVD is an assortment of dances all mixed into one 45 minute workout and it WAS a lot of fun, despite how I felt.
I worked out really hard last night, lifting weights at home and doing all my floor routine stuff, this includes the plank, push-ups, and a variety of curls both leg and arm ones.
So as you can imagine today I was extremely sore and stiff. I did stretch after my regular "night burn", but I guess I didn’t stretch long enough or something.
Doing this workout DVD was so interesting. I learned some new jargon, of which I can’t remember yet, because I’ve only heard it once, but give it a couple more times and I’ll remember it.
Apparently, after 14 times of doing this 45 minute workout a person will see results. It’s suppose to firm you up, focusing on your core, glutes, and thighs.
I plan to use this DVD to change up my routine every once and a while, maybe once or twice a week, we’ll see. It’s definitely great for a cardio burn, because I was sweating after 30 minutes.
Since, I was so stiff and sore and my multi-tasking is out-of-control, I’m sure I looked ridiculous doing these dance moves. Maybe next time, I’ll video tape it for you all to see! Wouldn’t that be hilarious to watch?!?!?!
I can’t wait till Jeff gets home from hockey, because then we’re going out to play 2 hours of volleyball till midnight. This is something new! I’ve been playing volleyball for 19 years but have never played so late before, this should be interesting, considering I usually turn into "Murdock" from the A-Team a little before midnight!!!
Oh and did you know that my ring-tone is the "A-Team" theme song? It IS!!! That was one of my favourite shows as a kid and I love that song.
What does your ring-tone sound like??? or what was one of your favourite shows as a kid??? or do you have a workout dvd that you recommend???

I used to watch the A-team too. It’s fun to get DVD’s of some of those old shows! My ring tone is just a boring ring.
My ring tone is boring….just a plain ring. It’s the only one loud enough on my phone so I always hear it. I enjoyed that A-Team also.
Hi Demara, This was one fun post to read :D! I totally agree with: who needs a gym when you have a TV, a DVD and the floor of your home? I stopped going to the gym cause I didn’t stand all the gossip going on there…I prefer to workout at home. LOL the first lessons are always a bit ridiculous, but if you wish to film yourself while workingout LOL….go ahead! My ring-tone is the sound of bells…basic, huh? My favourite show as a kid was "Maude"…boy I laughed like crazy! The DVD I recommend is "Yoga Namaste" it is very good, for it combines a series of yoga movements with breathing techniques and it is quite dymanic for those who don’t like hard core yoga. But if one likes yoga, then I suggest "Sacrad Yoga" with Rainbow Mars. Fantastic article! Cheers
My ring tone is a 70’s song by KC and the Sunshine Band…That’s the Way I like it. My dad used to sing this all the time when we were growing up! My favorite tv show as a kid was probably Love Boat. Not sure why but I loved that show. As far as work outs, can’t do much on a broken foot!
My ring tone is a cat’s meow !! ha ha
I had a wacky ring tone..it made me smile..but recently I change it because I thought others might think it was obnoxious. I do have two ringback tones. When you call..depending on the day you can listen to two different songs. And if my brain was not so old I could remember the names. We used to watch the A Team too….did you know that Mr T is a Christian? I have seen him interview several times on t.v. He is still a character.
I love your blog, keep doing what you’re doing! And I agree, the world wants to see the "Demara Works Out to a DVD" DVD…
Hey- That workout looks like so much fun! Where did you get it? I need to loose 30 pounds in 14 weeks and need all the help I can get!!!
