It’s A Conversation People
Reading a blog post to me is like: listening to someone talk.
And when I have a conversation, I don’t just listen, but respond too.
So the "Speaker"-AKA Blogger- feels heard.
Are you reading this?-AKA can you hear me?Just like in a game of "catch".
I like to pass you the ball-AKA write a post-and…
in return I like to have you pass the ball back-AKA comment.
Does that make any sense at all?I think some of you play the game of "catch" very well ! and you are like a breath of fresh air to me-after I’ve sucked on my puffer. :)
However, others-if there are others? who are reading here and not commenting every time, then, well you know. I’m throwing the ball at you, and you’re not catching it. And you are not throwing it back!
This is why I FEEL THE NEED to comment EVERY TIME I read someone’s blog.
It’s the game of "catch".
Here, I just tossed you the ball, now what are you going to do with it???
It’s a conversation.
I just told you something.
Will you respond?
Do you agree with this or not?
Please explain why?
Because seriously people, I don’t understand, why you wouldn’t respond in conversation.
Is this a conversation to you?
If not, what is it?

Hi Demara, Makes sense - good post! As for my answer, you already probably know what it is, I enjoy privacy and that’s why I talk to you everyday in a more private setting :) And for me, I read your blog so I feel more connected with your life (and it works, so thanks!) Love you Demara, PR
I usually comment every time I read someone’s blog. Even if I know them in person and will see them later. This way they know someone is listening and appreciating their thoughts.
Have a great weekend.
Well since you came over and commented on mine I am here to return the favor. Comments are like crack to a blogger. We just can’t get enough.
PS. I have never actually tried crack, nor do I condone its use :)
Sorry I have never thought of blogs as conversations so I don’t comment every time I read just when I have something to say! I enjoy your blog immensely, it’s been great to hear about your life as a “grown up” after watching you grow up at camp.
I think of blogs as more of a ‘hey, here’s what’s going on with me’ so I don’t always feel the need to comment. I do pipe up from time to time. I do really enjoy reading your blog. You are a good writer and are interesting. Sorry I don’t comment much. I’ll try to more often, but just so ya know, I check your blog most every day.
I try to comment every time but sometimes I don’t have time and am just trying to catch up real quick on all my blog reading. Then I think I’ll come back and comment later, but sometimes it just doesn’t happen. But I know how you feel, cause I live for comments too. Makes you feel like you’re not just wasting your time and gives you positive feedback to continue writing.
Since I am a bit shy and a private person I tend not to comment very often. But as a blogger myself I love comments so I try to come out of my shell sometimes and post a comment. I saved your blog ot my favourites and kept checking wondering why you weren’t updating as often as usual. I just realized that I was always going to the same post instead of the current post! So now I am getting caught up. Hopefully I can figure out how to fix the problem.
