I had no warning at all that I was to be pricked with a needle and even if I was warned it wasn’t said to me as loud as I think I may have needed to hear it. (It’s a long story but I’m pretty sure the people that worked in the office at this place were having a bad day, and well I just happen to get one of them poking these needles into my arm. Oh having someone taken their anger out on you is not a good feeling!)
So after a few tests, the Doctror checked my vitals and said I will have to take the puffer he prescribes me as I do have asthma. But what is contributing to this asthma? My allergies and in this order:
- Cats
- Tree Pollen (especially Birch trees)
- Nuts (especially walnuts, hazelnuts, and almonds)
Having this tree allergy makes me allergic to certain types of foods but only for the first 4 months of the year. The rest of the year I’m allowed to slowly integrate them COOKED into my diet and you know what those foods are: Apples, Carrots, Celery, Melon (papaya), Kiwi Fruit, Peach, Pear, Nectarine, Potato, Tomato, and Pineapple. To be honest I’d rather avoid them all together, even though I really like celery, I don’t care for the rest thankfully.
When I have 3 cats, trees are outside practically everywhere in BC Canada (I LIVE IN A FORREST), and nuts are hidden in A LOT of foods! Plus, I LOVE celery! (I didn’t know it was a culprit of mine though, or maybe I just didn’t want to believe it was because I like it so.)

Wow! It’s good you don’t like most of those foods. I would have a hard time avoiding those! I have no idea how you could avoid the other allergies tho’. Are you considering getting rid of the cats?
Yes, Jeff and I have discussed finding new homes for the cats, but Jeff can not handle getting rid of Nacho and Salsa. We have, however, agreed to find a home for Rufio. So one down and gone should help a bit hopefully! Oh shoot, that reminds me we were going to pick up a vacuum cleaner when went shopping today! We need to vacuum badly!!
