Something I was just thinking about is this…

Do you think God wants us to pray in positive or negative speech??? Ok you’re probably thinking like what the heck is she talking about here??? But seriously I was just praying well actually first I started thinking about my face to be honest. I was thinking about my nose and how God created it to protrude and I then I wondered why my nose sticks out (like is it there to protect my mouth? Is it a breathing filter? To keep us from eating bugs??) when still others don’t (don’t get me wrong here though I LOVE MY NOSE!!). Then I thanked God for making everyone different, different looking and so on. God is a God of variety is he not?

Since I’ve started reading this book "Overcoming the Legacy of Overeating" I’ve been noticing how often I speak in negative tones and so now I am working on changing this! But as i was laying there, fanning myself because it’s so hot here right now, I was praying like this: I inhaled saying: Thank-you for making my nose stick out! I inhaled saying: Thank-you for who you’ve made me to be! I inhaled again saying: Thank-you for the things that make me different from the next person!!! and so forth.

I think perhaps that when we pray, all the time, God wants us to stay focused on the fruits of the Spirit, and none of them are negative!!! So if YOU have trouble praying on a regular basis try this.

You breath on a regular basis right? You couldn’t live if you didn’t so…when you inhale, pray, the prayer could just be one word like: Joy…then again, Love…and still again, Peace and to even enhance your praying experience or your time with God or your meditation, close your eyes! I know when I close my eyes my world all of sudden gets A LOT bigger!!! And I feel a lot closer to God, like he is in my thoughts, that is when I’m focused completely on him in shut eye praise, because that IS essentially what it is right? Prayer when our eyes are closed and focused on his fruits is the meaning of this new phrase I’ve made up: "shut eye praise" HAHA

Just think about how happy our Creator God our Father would be if all of us, his children, were praising him every time we inhaled!!!
