My Mom!!!
So we just got back from visiting my Mom at the hospital…
- She’s banged up pretty badly.
- I gave her a foot massage. (she liked that!)
- I brought her orange juice. (her fav.)
- I gave her a lot of hugs. (when I hug I give a back rub)
Then Jeff and I went out for sushi with my Aunt and Uncle…
- We talked about everything.
- We tried to get the right story.
- They knew just as much as we did except for what we told them…about our visit.
When I walked into the hospital room and looked at my mom sleeping…she was snoring…and as soon as I got a bit close and stared at her…she opened her one eye (the other one was and is still swollen shut)…and I said, "Hi, Mom!" She said, "OH HI!!!"
She was VERY excited to see me. She was so happy to see me. She asked if we were there to take her home…we asked the nurses and they said she wasn’t ready yet.
The first things my mom asked me was:
- "What are you doing?
- Did you work at Wal-Mart today?
- Are you scared?
- Scared to see me like this?"
I told her:
- I’m here to see you.
- No (I haven’t worked there for TWO YEARS!)
- Yes
- Yaaaaaass
When I said I think Andrew did this to you…she cried…she said "NO! He couldn’t have done this…I think it was someone else! and she said I don’t remember what happened…the last thing I remember is Andrew had some smokes at Grandmas with Grandma (this is the Grandma on chemo) and because I didn’t like, or want him to…i told him he had to walk home…he was mad about this."
and I listened.
Later on in the day…my mom was released from Intensive care…and my auntie Bertha drove her home…then my Auntie Monica and I went over to her place to see her. We ended up cleaning up all the glass that was all over her bedroom floor. Someone had thrown a huge rock at her Padio door…we found the rock…and there was glass everywhere even in the futon she laid down on IN THE LIVING ROOM…and we left…left her sleeping …I covered her up with a heated blanket and tucked her up with another blanket on top of that…
I’m home now…and she called…she said she is finding it hard to breathe…I was curious about the stab wound and asked her how deep it was…she said it was 2 inches deep. yikes!!!
So please continue your prayers for a quick recovery….and thank-you for your prayers already…my Mom DID have a quick return home which was and is great!!! She likes it much better at home. Oh and she has no shoes…when the ambulance came they had to cut off her careaid uniform and Jeff thinks there was blood all over her new runners and so she can not keep ‘em. My Auntie Bertha lent her some shoes…which is good…because there are still little pieces of glass around…
