Just Because, I Love You My Friend!!!

Mirror? Mirror?
My Honey-Bun!!!

I don’t know why but maybe you do this too… BUT I tend to only drink all but the last *half-an-inch* or so of liquids now. It has been this way since I got married, or maybe it’s been longer… I just never really noticed before.

My team-mate is a "GREAT" mirror of all sorts of habits I have, that I had no idea I had.

Why do I describe Jeff, aka my team-mate, as a "GREAT" mirror? Well not only can I see the reflection of what I’m doing, but MY "mirror" talks to me and answers back when I ask it "Mirror, Mirror on the wall (Jeff) who’s the fairest of them all?"

And MY mirror answers back with a "YOU ARE!!! My dearest. My sweet pea!"

That’s what marriage is all about right? About: communion with another. Communion as in this dictionary’s definition: interchange or sharing of thoughts or emotions; intimate communication: communion with nature.

I THINK: mirrors were created by a single person (I’m just curious but does anyone know the answer to this? Was the creator of the mirror single?), because truly when you live with another like a team-mate for example, who needs a mirror anyway???

Perhaps that’s why the Bible, MY HISTORY collections, only talks about a "cloudy" mirror however the Bible is not REALLY talking about a mirror here? Is it? It’s talking about how things are, right now in our lives, or maybe in just my life…but here is one version, from my collections, below that uses the metaphor of a mirror but in the second version you can actually read what it is really talking about.

  1 Corinthians 13:

12
Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

12
We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist.
But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it ALL then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!

(He reads our blogs everyday!!! And, THEN, we will get to read HIS!!!)

Extra Love?
I love these verses too: 1 Cor 11:
11
In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.
12
For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.

I’m so thankful that I have this team-mate, my equal yet elder (he’s 2 years older than I *wink, wink*) of mine to back me up, to have discussions with (such as: how do I look in this? or do see snot in my nose? or hey Is there any cat hair on my butt? and so forth…)!!!

Our wedding verse:
Ecclesiastes 4:12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

(OH and the home visit was long but good. It just seemed like the Social Worker wanted to visit with us. So we had a good "visit".)
