Sleet

Today while I was driving it started to pour slush, at first I didn’t want to believe it was in fact snow so I saw hail. I really don’t like the snow, I mean don’t get me wrong, I love God’s creations they are so magnificent, but the snow now I’ll be asking him in Heaven why He created that…i guess some of you like it so perhaps He was thinking of you when He made it. So here the slush rain has made sleet and lots of it, I couldn’t step on my brakes this whole way…just stepping on the gas made me slide.

That reminds me of another more recent scary story that happened…Yesterday, I was driving rather fast down a hill, as it is in most cases since hills tend to make me take my foot off the gas, but when there’s a corner ahead, watch out! I love driving FAST around corners!!! Although, after yesterday I don’t know if that’ll be the case now. There was a sheet of black ice and lots of it…It was just me and our 9 year old. I stepped on my brakes to slow down for the corner (a bit) like I usually do and all of a sudden I was in the other lane, out of control, staring just inches from another car’s butt!!! So I thought I’ll take my foot off the brakes and spin my wheel…to make a long story short: I fish tailed around that corner and must have freaked a lot of people out, because I know I freaked everyone in my car out. Yikes thank-you Jesus there were no cars in the lane I was in!!!

I was a bit distraught this morning as well. We have had the strangest weather this winter. I don’t like driving in it either and I don’t like knowing that anyone I love is driving in it either. That picture you took is really pretty. I love snow pictures, hmm there seems to be a contradiction in my philosophy of snow.

Hey be careful! Glad that turned out OK. I don’t really like the winter weather either.

Wow, thank-you , Lord for protecting Demara… I do think you need to slow down!! smile
And , I am sorry, but I am one of the ones God pleased when He made snow… although I don’t like slush and sleet and snow on the roads… that is all man’s fault for messing up God’s perfect plan. I love it on the trees and mountains and softly crunching under my feet. To me it is always a picture of how God’s forgiveness covers all ‘the dirt’.

Thank you Lord for protecting you. I don’t like driving in the snow. I’m glad it doesn’t snow much where I am.

That is really scary!!! I hate driving on ice. Fortunately, in Texas we don’t get too much of it. Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. :)
