My Prophetic Dream: The Warning

It was the year 1990, on a Saturday night. I slept in a tiny room in the basement of a medium sized house in the subburbs of an expensive area. The three of us, my mom, brother and I rented a suite there. All three of us originally slept in the one bedroom that we had originally rented the place for. This tiny room I slept in use to be our landlord’s sewing room, but since I was alot older, almost 10 years older, than my brother and I wanted my own room they made it into a room for me. I was very thankful. On this particular Saturday night I drempt, at 10 years old, that the next morning we were going to go to church in a city a half hour away from our hometown. We were going to go down a couple streets in particular, Cedar and Cherry. Now Cherry street has a few rolley hills on it, and in my dream I drempt that there would be a police officer standing at the top of one of the hills. He would be standing in a way that drivers could not see him from driving up the hill, but would only be visible once reaching the top. I drempt that my mom would be driving our van up to that spot on the hill and that the police officer would be there, as if waiting for her, pointing his finger at her and then with a stiff arm ushering her to pull over. And that she would get a ticket. Well, guess what? Sunday morning, as we were going down the streets I drempt in particularly about, I thought I should warn my mom about the police officer I drempt about. So as we turned onto Cherry street I told her and when we were starting up that particular hill I warned her, I said matter of factly, "there WILL be a cop at the top here, I think you should slow down. SLOW DOWN, or you WILL get a ticket." I was so certain because we had done everything else from my dream up until this point. AND GUESS WHAT?!!! She said, "I’m going slow enough." And sure enough there at the top WAS a police officer ushering her to pull over and she DID get a ticket, for speeding. They had apparently changed the speed zone there and she had no idea, except for what I told her in advanced. And you know what? She even told the police officer that I drempt about the whole situation and that I told her to slow down and that she thought she was going slow enough. Well the police was baffeled and looked dismayed as he said, "You’ve got a smart girl there. You should have listened to her". Ever since then I have been afraid of my dreams that seem so real.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Weird stuff, dreaming something that really happens. Wouldn’t it be cool if instead of something as innocuous as a traffic ticket, it was instead something like someone about to have a deadly accident and you could stop it.

    Cool stuff.
